Here are some images I shot while exploring the areas around the factory and the residence. The top image is the ethanol plant that is behind the factory and right on the shore of the Illinois River. It's a pretty impression machine but the smell can sometimes be a little overwhelming (think grain alcohol). The bottom shots were taken during a walk through the woods behind the residence. I had a pretty clichéd hike, sinking in the mud next to the creek, teetering on a log that traversed the water, and walking ignorantly into a thicket of thorns. Still, it was nice to be outside.
